Built for the future of Petrol & Convenience.
Most Petrol & Convenience software wasn’t designed – it accumulated. A POS system here, a back office bolted on there, a loyalty platform added when the last one stopped being supported. Impulse Retailing was built the opposite way: as a single, cloud-native platform, engineered from the ground up specifically for Petrol & Convenience retailing – AI-native, not AI-added, so intelligence runs through every part of the platform rather than sitting on top of it.
What “connected” actually means.
It’s easy for a platform to claim its parts “work together.” What that should mean in practice is that data moves between them in real time – not on a nightly batch job, not after a manual export, but the moment it happens.
With Impulse, a fuel sale at the pump updates stock in Back Office instantly. That same sale feeds to Impulse Intelligence, so the margin figure you see is never more than seconds old. A sale rung through self-checkout at an unmanned site lands in exactly the same place, using the same product, pricing and promotion data as every till. Inventory updates in real time with automated reordering, and every transaction flows automatically into Back Office with business performance insights immediately available through Impulse Intelligence. None of this requires integration work, middleware, or a nightly sync. It’s one platform, not several systems politely passing files to each other.
That’s the practical difference between a platform built as one system and one assembled from parts: In Impulse, the connection isn’t a feature. It’s the architecture.

The Ecosystem. How it connects.
The Impulse Retailing ecosystem is made up of a growing set of connected products, each doing a distinct job on the same shared foundation:
Coming soon: Impulse Loyalty App, extending that same intelligence into personalised offers, pre-order and collect, and native fleet accounts.
This isn’t a finished set of products – it’s a platform built to keep growing. Every new addition to the ecosystem connects the same way, on the same architecture – not as a separate system bolted on afterwards.
One connected ecosystem. One source of truth. One technology partner.
Why the architecture is what makes scale possible.
A platform stitched together from separate systems tends to hit a ceiling. Every added site is another instance to configure, another integration to maintain, another place things can drift out of sync. Vendors usually build a simplified product for small operators because the real one doesn’t scale down cleanly, and a heavier one for large operators because the real one doesn’t scale up cleanly either.
Impulse doesn’t split that way, because there was never a seam to split along. The same core platform that runs a single independent site is currently powering a rollout across more than 500 sites in Australia and New Zealand under a major enterprise contract. Not a related product. Not a scaled-up edition. The same architecture, the same intelligence, running underneath both.
That’s what lets an independent operator get enterprise-grade oversight without needing an enterprise-sized team to run it – and what lets a 500-site network run without the platform buckling under its own weight.
Cloud-native. Offline-resilient. Both, always.
A forecourt can never simply stop trading, which puts Impulse in a position most cloud software doesn’t have to think about: it has to be genuinely cloud-native – securely reachable from any browser, updated everywhere at once, a single source of truth for every connected site – while never once depending on a connection that might drop mid-shift.
That’s why the platform is built cloud-native and offline-resilient at the same time, rather than one with the other bolted on as a fallback. Impulse Touch, Impulse PDA and Impulse Go all keep working through a dropped connection, then synchronise automatically the moment it’s back. The cloud gives you the real-time visibility; the offline resilience means that visibility is never the thing standing between your team and getting the job done.
That combination of enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with real-world resilience is the foundation everything in the ecosystem is built on.
