Impulse Back Office.
The back office used to mean spreadsheets, supplier invoices and a stocktake nobody enjoyed. Impulse Back Office turns it into the control centre for the whole Petrol & Convenience business. – securely accessible from any browser, on any device. Every transaction processed through Impulse Touch is reflected here in real time, so there’s one accurate source of truth across the entire operation, not a version of the truth per site.
That matters most the moment there’s more than one site to manage. Stock, pricing, promotions, performance – all of it visible live, across every location, from a single screen. A multi-site operator doesn’t need to call around to know what’s happening; it’s already in front of them.

Products, pricing and promotions.
Pricing and product data only work as a source of truth if changing them once actually means changing them everywhere. In Impulse, it does – a price change pushed from head office reaches every till, at every site, without anyone touching a till directly.
- Product master with site-level overrides, multiple barcodes per product, pack sizes, kits, departments and product types
- Bulk price changes and head-office price batches, including scheduled and future pricing
- Preset (fast key) maintenance with images, per site or site group, pushed to tills in real time
- Fuel pricing – central and site price changes, full price history, matrix pricing from controller grades
- Shelf-edge and product labels
- Bootstrap imports for products, suppliers, promotions, recipes, tobacco and top-up ranges – for bringing a new site online fast
- Every change logged against the user who made it
Promotion maintenance, import, analysis and alerts work the same way, with supplier-funded promotions tracked separately from your own. Every promotion set up here also feeds Promotion Insights in Impulse Intelligence, which watches performance continuously and flags the moment one stops earning its keep – so margin erosion shows up today, not buried in a month-end report.
Stock and purchasing.
Ordering used to mean someone’s best guess, based on what usually sells and what’s running low today. Impulse replaces the guesswork with data.
- Orders, goods received, adjustments, waste and stocktakes – with count sheets or handheld counts
- Stock valuation with FIFO cost lots, month-end close, and cost precision to six decimal places for fuel
- Supplier management and supplier imports, with reorder levels and order suggestions
- Product attributes for shelf life, nutrition and allergens, with label printing
- EDI ordering and invoicing with suppliers, for networks that need it
Three things do the heavy lifting here:

One accurate record, everywhere it’s needed.
Every price change, every stocktake, every reconciled shift lives in one place – and that same record is what powers Impulse Intelligence’s live answers, keeps Impulse Go’s self-checkout pricing correct, and gives the field team working on Impulse PDA something accurate to sync back to. Back Office isn’t a separate system the rest of the platform reports into. It’s the record the rest of the platform is built on.
